il cotone

“Il Cotone” project is about a small area of Piombino’s city, in Tuscany, Italy.
I’m trying to tell through photography this industrial district, working-class neighborhood behind a big steel factory where places and people are still permeated by values of solidarity, collective and individual behavior coming from the past time.
My grandparents and my dad were born and raised here so I often visited these places when I was a child…I feel a great emotional connection with
these places .
